ABOUT
SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION
The Department of Sexual Assault Prevention advocates for all issues concerning sexual assault and preventative measures on campus, including advocating to the Boston University administration, helping to improve resources, and supporting survivors on campus. The Department also acts as the direct liaison to all organizations on campus pertaining to sexual assault prevention. During the 2024-2025 academic year, we hope to coordinate events that educate the student body on the importance of understanding preventative measures and supporting victims within our community. It is our hope to foster an environment that empowers individuals, raises awareness, and ensures that comprehensive support systems are in place to prevent and address sexual assault on campus. Some current initiatives include, but are not limited to: organizing a resource fair, holding lectures, and researching potential changes to BU's prevention trainings. If you are interested in helping survivors or passionate about prevention and training, please consider getting involved!

I have recently taken up photography as well so you may just catch me around campus with my camera!
DIRECTOR
DIVYA-SUHANI POORE

Hello! My name is Suhani Poore, I'm from Houston, Texas, and I am a senior studying Biology in CAS. This is my first year serving as a co-director of SAP following my role as a co-chair in 16,000 Strong last year. This is also my second year serving as the President of the Hindu Cultural Association. When I'm not planning cultural events or working on SAP initiatives, you can either find me working with butterflies at the Mullen Lab of Evolutionary Genetics or the downstairs basketball courts at Fitrec (The upstairs courts are scary)! My number one goal in my student government role is to reach those who wouldn't actively seek resources themselves because of cultural stigma. I hope people see me in these roles and find me as a beacon of support and a safe source of information for them. I am very excited for all of the workshops Cece and I have planned, especially the narcan and pepper spray trainings!
