Finance Committee:
The Finance Committee is in charge of managing the Senate General Ledger and ensuring budget requests are processed efficiently. In addition to managing the Senate General Ledger, the Finance Committee must gather representation from all sectors of the BU student body and make an annual recommendation for the distribution of the Community Service Fee.

I am a Questrom Junior from Brooklyn, NY studying Information Systems and Organizational Management. I have been a senator for over a year and established the Finance Committee last year. The Finance Committee assists organizations with funding requests and negotiates on behalf of the allocations of over $2 million in BU funding. I plan to expand the Finance Committee to raise financial awareness across campus. If you are interested in joining FineCo, reach out!

The Finance Committee oversees the Senate General Ledger and ensuring budget requests are processed efficiently. For more information on requesting money from Senate, check out the "Get Funded Program" tab underneath the Senate page.
In addition to managing the Senate General Ledger, the Finance Committee must gather representation from all sectors of the BU student body and make an annual recommendation for the distribution of the Community Service Fee (CSF). The CSF is the budget that gets allocated to every student-run organization on campus, including club sports, residence halls, and student governments.
This committee is a great opportunity to gain experience managing money and having a voice in deciding how student finances are spent!
