Department of Events
The Department of Events is responsible for planning and executing any and all events that Boston University Student Government conducts throughout the school year. During the 2018-2019 school year, we plan to create events for the Student Body in hopes to increase participation, school pride, and fun on campus. As a team, we will propose different events and set up all the logistics for each event including but not limited to venue, food/catering arrangements, music, etc. The Department of Events have a lot of things planned for Student Government and we can't wait for the BU Community to experience it all!
Office Hours: Monday from 9-10 a.m.
Suzie O’michael, Director of Events
Hello everyone! I’m Suzie O'Michael and I am extremely delighted to serve as the Director of Events for the 2018-2019 school year! I’m from Dallas, Texas, but originally from Eritrea. I’m a junior in the College of Communications studying Public Relations with a double minor in Spanish and Business Administration. After BU, I hope to work in Eritrea, focusing on Public Affairs and Policy for the region. I've enjoyed the last two years at BU and can't wait to see what the next two years bring my way. I can't wait to grow, learn and make a difference in the BU community with my role in Cabinet!
Weekly Student Government Event (WSGE)
Student Government has officially launched our Weekly Student Government Events! Every Wednesday at 6PM, we get to open the Student Government office to the entire student body, and host different and exciting events, such as Board game nights and Karaoke. We also have events where students can sit down and study, get to know one another, and give students the opportunity to connect with Student Government. We hope to see you there!
Student Government has been working hard to bring some awesome events to campus, especially for the Spring. We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting a Spring Concert for students to enjoy some music and VIBE with Student Government. We’ll be having a surprise performer at the concert, so keep a look out for future updates!
